PREMIUM NEW ZEALAND HOPS
Sustainably Grown & Processed
OUR FARM
From the Motueka Valley to the Brew.
We’re an independent family hop farm nestled in the heart of New Zealand’s hop-growing region. We grow, process and pellet our own hops, taking them from field to pellet within 48 hours to preserve their freshness, character and aroma.
We care about the quality of what we grow and the land we grow it on, taking a thoughtful, hands-on approach from healthy soils in the garden to careful processing on the farm.
Now heading into our 10th harvest, we continue to refine our craft, improve what we do and pay attention to the details that make a difference.
WHAT WE GROW
Get to know the nine New Zealand hop varieties we grow here at Pikimai - each with its own character, aroma and story.
Motueka™
A favourite among brewers and beer drinkers, with vibrant tropical fruit and refreshing citrus notes.
Nelson Sauvin™
Perhaps New Zealand’s most famous hop variety, with smooth bittering characteristics and rich fruity, gooseberry and white wine notes that make it truly unique.
Riwaka™
A darling of the New Zealand craft beer scene, bringing a tropical fruit salad of guava, mango and ripe pineapple to the brew.
FROM FIELD TO PELLET
Freshness starts in the field.
During harvest, our hops make the short journey from the gardens to our on-farm processing facility, where we dry, process and pellet them within 48 hours. They’re then nitrogen packed and chilled to protect their freshness and preserve the aromas we’ve worked all season to grow.
Keeping every step close to home means we can look after our hops from field to pellet, paying attention to the details that make the difference. It’s a big part of what makes Pikimai hops what they are.
